CSEE Graduate Degree Programs
The Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering (CSEE) currently offers the following graduate degree programs:
Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Civil Engineering
This is a one-year program for students wishing to improve their knowledge base in engineering and to gain additional design capability. Students are prepared primarily for careers in engineering practice.
Master of Science (M.S.) in Civil Engineering
This is a two-year, research-oriented program of advanced study for students wishing to enhance their knowledge and understanding within a specialized discipline. Students are prepared either for careers in engineering practice or for further study.
Master of Science (M.S.) in Engineering Science
This is a two-year, research-oriented program of advanced study for students wishing to enhance their knowledge and understanding within the field of environmental science.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering
This is a program of specialized education and research culminating in a dissertation that represents an original contribution to the field. Doctoral students are prepared for positions of responsibility in academia, research and development, or advanced engineering practice.
