Program Educational Objectives for B.S. in Environmental Engineering

The Program Educational Objectives for the B.S. in Environmental Engineering offered through the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering are published in the University Catalog, in the Undergraduate Studies Manual, and presented below. The program is preparing its student to:

  • Be employed and promoted as environmental engineers in consulting, industry, government, and academia or employed and promoted in related professions

  • Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge through lifelong learning, such as graduate study and continuing education

  • Respond to the changing impact of environmental engineering solutions in a global and social context

  • Advance and support the engineering profession through participation in professional societies, civic groups, and educational institutions

HIGHLIGHT

Integrated Waste Management

The UB Center for Integrated Waste Management's Brownfield Action Project promotes cross-fertilization of ideas among various academic disciplines, provides a forum for the conceptualization research and service projects, and offers educational and training experiences for students.
